Flowers For The Stars

It’s that time of year for spring plays and musicals.  And before you know it spring recitals and concerts will be happening as well.  Say congratulations to that special someone with a beautiful flower bouquet.

Kate's Dance Recital 2012 001

{1} MOST FOR YOUR MONEY.  Have your florist put the bouquet together in a nice wrap.  It will be easier to hand off at the end of the show, and will save you a few extra dollars over a vase arrangement.

{2}  COLOR COORDINATE.  Does your star have a favorite color, or maybe the particular show has a specific pallet.  Go with it!  You can get everything from the flowers to the ribbon to coordinate for a complete bouquet.

{3} ADD SOME GLAM.  Your florist can spice up a bouquet by adding some glitter spray for the final finishing touch.  If you really want to get elaborate, you can add a gem in the center of a beautiful gerbera daisy or rose.

{4} A SPECIAL NOTE.  While you will be able to add a card message to your bouquet, why not upgrade to a speciality card?  It will be the perfect addition to your bouquet, and most florists have beautiful cards on hand for sale.

{5} HANDLE WITH CARE.  In your daily run around, don’t leave your beautiful bouquet in the car.  Make sure to plan accordingly so flowers aren’t left in an overly cold or hot vehicle.  This can leave the flowers in an unpresentable condition for your recipient.

Lovely Card Messages

If you didn’t see our Facebook post on Friday, we were inspired by a customers request to include a romantic movie line on their card message.  What a great idea!  We thought we would expand on it this Tuesday in our blog.  It’s the perfect touch to arguably the most important part of your floral gift. So here are some ideas to add to your arrangement this Valentine’s Day.

Valentine’s Day Flowers Tips & Tricks

Whether you’re sending a beautiful bouquet to that special someone, or are fully surprised on the 14th with a beautiful array of florals, we have some advice for you.

{2} Read The Fine Print.  If you choose to order your flowers online make sure to know exactly what you’re getting.  Many online floral services will send fresh flowers in a box, not arranged.  Consider ordering through your local florist.  They have expert designers on site to create your bouquet, and friendly delivery personnel to ensure each arrangement is delivered in flawless condition.

{3} Try Something New.  When thinking of Valentine’s Day flowers red roses may be your immediate thought.  But consider trying to send something new.  Maybe that special someone loves gerbera daisies or their favorite color is yellow.  Don’t feel limited by the Valentine’s Day norms, select flowers that will truly represent your recipient’s personality.

Receiving Flowers:

{1} Thank Your Sender.  When receiving flowers, especially on a busy day such as Valentine’s, remember to thank your sender.  They invested money into your arrangement and may have even done it as a surprise.  Consider giving your Valentine a ring, they’d love to know you received their special gift.

{2} Maintain Your Bouquet.  Know that flowers are sensitive to cold temperatures, so remember to place them in the original package when traveling home.  Change the water and add some floral food every few days.

{3} Tell Your Florist What You Think.  You’re florist would love to know what you thought of your bouquet.  If there is an issue, call the florist directly.  If you loved your bouquet send in a photo, or comment on social media.
