Modern Floral Design

Not all floral arrangements are the same. If you are looking for something unique or modern, try a high end floral design. Here are a few ways that these modern arrangements are different then your average bouquet of flowers.

{1} Different Vases: Instead of your average flower vase, try a modern design to really change up the look. 8bdb7361b66c16ec48cd8f756a9edfd1

Crown Of Flowers

Trending this wedding season are floral head wreaths.  There are many ways to incorporate them, from just the flower girls to all the brides maid.  If you’re thinking floral head wreaths might be a good fit for your wedding, here are some ideas you may consider:

Bridesmaids Floral{1} On The Bridesmaids: Don’t want a floral crown to take away from your perfect dress? Try adding the floral crowns to the bridesmaid’s ensemble. You can loose their bouquets for a casual bohemian inspired vibe, or pair with tiny nosegays.

Flower Girl{2} On The Flower Girls: What’s better than having your flower girls wear actual flowers? Adding a floral crown to a flower girl’s ensemble can fit into almost any wedding style.

Bride Half Floral{3} Half Head Wreath: If you’re looking to add just a little something to your dress, maybe a half head wreath is just the fit for you. The half head wreath is not too much, but just enough. You can easily change up flower color depending on you wedding’s color palate, too.

Bride Dainty Wreatj{4} Subtle Full Head Wreath: A dainty, subtle floral crown is perfect for those who love the look of a crown, but don’t need to make a bold and dramatic statement.  Pair with a beach or traditional themed wedding. This type of floral crown is just enough to make a statement, but not too flashy.

Bride Updo{5} Bun Style Head Wreath: Floral head crowns are all the rage, but are you the type who wants to be beyond the trend? Try wrapping a floral headpiece around any up do. It gives head wreath a whole different look.

Bride Bold{6} Dramatic Full Head Wreath: Adding this bright, dramatic floral crown is just the piece you need to make a statement on that special day. This type of floral crown works perfect with a summer, fall, or spring wedding.  Opt for lush bold color blooms for full impact.

Prom Season is upon us again, and for many it has already been months in the planning! Inspired by runway fashion, here are this season’s hottest trends for Prom.

From the red carpet to your local prom, red is the trending color this spring! Making a bold statement, red will emerge as a standout color in both classic and modern designs.

Together again are black and white!  The classic black or white dress could be eclipsed by this smart combination.

Color blocking is making the jump from casual to formal wear! From brights to pastels, beautiful combinations of color block designs are heading our way this spring.

Lacey Prom looks, also inspired by red carpet designs, are trending in Prom designs this spring.  Look for black lace overlay gowns to be the most popular, offering revealing designs with peekaboo cut outs or a quieter vintage vibe. Alternative colors in lace designs are also available in red, fuchsia and other bright color combinations.

Trending in a big way this spring are embellished gowns and dresses. Crystals, rhinestones, or appliques can be seen as trims, a complete a full bodice, or more. It’s all about the bling and in some cases more is better.

The Kennedy-Hickey Wedding was so much fun to work with.  Especially since all their selections were beautiful choices that happen to be hot wedding trends this summer.

As a fan of all things fashion related, I must first give a shout out to the non floral fashions that all worked together for this pretty, pretty wedding.  The beautiful bride, Julia opted for a candle light lace gown with cap sleeves, that was stunning on her statuesque frame.  For the bridal party Julia chose blush cocktail length dresses.  It was wonderful for us to kick off the summer wedding season with the fastest trending color this year.  It was also refreshing to see her embrace another new trend and style her hair loose in a partial up do.  The handsome Groom, Patrick, and beautiful weather made this the perfect Rochester Wedding Day!!

Here are some hot trends you can take away from this fabulous wedding:

{1} Limit your floral choices to 2-3 types of flowers and colors, less is more and too many varieties and colors can look busy and distracting.

{2} Blush and green as floral colors for the day can be utilized in several shades, in this combination of the brighter greens to the lightest green combined with blush and a touch of pink is a popular pairing for this summer.

{3} A combination of high and low centerpieces is the perfect look for any wedding.  The tall cylinder vases with branches paired with the low compact arrangements on alternating tables is a wonderful visual experience and also offers cost savings.
